NEW YORK, Nov. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Infor, a leading provider of beautiful business applications specialized by industry and built for the cloud, today announced the availability of an updated version of Infor Enterprise Asset Management, an application that delivers consumable,
actionable insights to help companies proactively manage assets, asset information, and maintenance activities. The latest version of Infor EAM, version 11.3.2, is now generally available in the cloud as well as via Infor CloudSuite™ Facilities Management, and delivers several new features for tracking, mobility and management. Infor EAM includes several industry-specific features designed to simplify asset management for manufacturing, facilities, life sciences, fleet/transportation, municipalities, and public sector organizations.

The newest release of Infor EAM has significant updates to the Nonconformity screen and the Nonconformity tab of the Work Order and the Assets, Positions and System screens. These now show additional attributes of a work order and the equipment associated to the observation. This will help users better identify selection criteria for preventative maintenance schedules and maintenance patterns, and quickly view multiple unfinished observations, comments and documents. Several updates were also made to the definition of linear equipment and the way that linear work can be defined. On the Segments and Routes tab of the Equipment screen a new organization option is available with which the equipment structure can be synchronized to create a corresponding equipment structure record.
Mobility was a key focus for this iteration of Infor EAM. Specifically, Infor EAM Mobile for Fleet and Infor EAM Mobile for Transit have added capabilities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of asset management personnel who work in the field. The ability to create and edit work order nonconformities on the map has been added, and track walkers for transit agencies will be able inspect train/subway tracks for defects (i.e. nonconformities) on a regular basis. They can create a new nonconformity whenever they find a defect, or potential defect, locating it correctly on the map. The inspector will then be able to update attributes for the nonconformity in subsequent inspections, keeping track of its Status, Severity, etc.
"Successful organizations recognize that improving asset performance will not only reduce costs, but will also enhance the capacity for top-line growth. Inadequate asset management can expose companies to violations of safety regulations and compliance requirements, which is why it's incredibly important to lean on a technology partner that understands the nuances of specific industries to put a successful strategy in place," said Mike Stone, Product Manager, Infor EAM. "We want our customers to avoid as much risk as possible, and have an easy, seamless experience working with our software. This is why we continuously update and innovate within our solutions, such as Infor EAM, with direct feedback from customers in order to anticipate the needs of today and anticipate what is coming tomorrow."
