Madrasa student beaten and locked up for 2 days in Uttar Pradesh

The jury is out on what's worse: the fact that a student was beaten up black and blue and locked up for two days by a teacher, or the unrepentant assaulter justifying his behaviour as fair punishment.
An eight-year-old student of a madrasa in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, has alleged that he was beaten up by his teacher, Abdul Latif, with a baton after he had a fight with his nephew on January 2. The nephew is a classmate of the victim, Ali (name changed).

हाईकोर्ट से आदेश होने और प्रमुख सचिव बेसिक के अवमानना मामले में फंसने के बाद बोर्ड के अफसर सक्रिय हुए हैं। दरअसल प्रदेश में पहली बार आयोजित टीईटी-11 में ओबीसी, एससी, एसटी समेत आरक्षित वर्ग के अभ्यर्थियों को 83 नंबर (55 प्रतिशत) पर पास किया गया था। लेकिन सीबीएसई ने दिसंबर 2012 की सीटीईटी से आरक्षित वर्ग के अभ्यर्थियों को 82 नंबर पर पास का सर्टिफिकेट देना शुरू कर दिया।
